Conditions: Perfect conditions. Flat seas, beautiful sunshine and very little wind.
The Atlantic Ocean is known for being quite rough, especially down here in the Cape of Storms. Today was one of those days where it did not live up to its reputation and conditions were stunning! The seas were flat, the sun was shining, and we had insane visibility for this time of year, and on top of all of that, we didn’t have to wait long for one of our large beautiful copper shark friends to appear at the cage! The only thing that could have made today 100% perfect is if a white shark had appeared, but unfortunately, they still have not been spotted in the bay and we’re hoping that they begin to come back soon. We were so grateful to have a large handful of the copper sharks around the boat, often times with several visiting together. They made some graceful passes close to the cage, showing off their hydrodynamic bodies and their beautiful copper dermal denticles (skin teeth).
