Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: 11.4°C + 11.7°C

Depth: 9.4m + 7.2m

Visibility: 0.5m + 1m

Conditions: A windy day with a lot of sun.

A few clouds hung in the sky we headed out to sea. Once we arrived at our dive site, our divers climbed into their wetsuits and we waited for the first sharks to arrive. After a short wait we saw the brief glimmer of a Copper shark as it came up to the surface. Our divers climbed into the cage and the Copper shark came by for a few passes. Soon she was joined by another. However, towards the second half of the trip sightings of them slowed down. We even reanchored to give our divers a chance elsewhere. Luckily our marine biologist on board kept our guests informed about the conservation and research efforts Marine Dynamics is involved in and interesting facts about sharks and the ecosystem. The beautiful sunshine helped make it a good trip out at sea.
