It was another beautiful day to be out in the fresh sea air. The sharks also seem to be warming up with little waiting time on both trips today. Whilst the sharks arrived quick this morning they took a little time to get into the swing of things as they shyly cruised by under the water however with the arrival of our second shark, the female with the parasite patch on her head that we have been seeing frequently over the last few days, things started to get exciting as she took close passes and turns by the cage and broke the surface of the water. We also had a very active juvenile on this trip that showed those on board the speed and agility that these animals are capable of. The second trip launched back to the same anchor site and a shark was spotted within moments of arriving. The activity on this trip was awe-inspiring with nearly constant view of a White shark for much of the trip, multiple sharks around the cage and passing close by the divers again and again. The activity slowed a little towards the end of the trip but two of the sharks continued to make their presence known as they glided by every few minutes. A glorious day to be a shark cage diver in Gansbaai, South Africa…
