Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze whalers, Broadnose sevengill shark + Cape Fur seal
Trip 1.
The Bronze whaler sharks kept us waiting for a little bit this morning but once they arrived we had some fantastic encounters.
We had some nice, close passes throughout the morning.
This big female was seen a lot towards the end of our trip.
The action picked up to the point where we had multiple individuals come by at once.
We went for a quick trip by Dyer Island and Geyser Rock before heading back to land, a wonderful way to finish a wonderful trip.
Trip 2.
A fantastic start to our second trip with the sharks appearing quite quickly.
Some stunning surface activity was seen – the view from the boat is just as cool!
This Cape Fur seal also was seen throughout the trip.
The appearance of a new visitor for the day caused a stir…a Broadnose sevengill shark!
What a sighting! A Cow shark and Copper shark together.
A big thank you to all our guests for joining us. We hope you enjoyed your shark experience!
Trip 3.
Bronze whalers all around!
Yin and yang in sharks!
Coming nice and close
A nice little snout of a bronze whaler, the little pores are called Ampullae of Lorenzini
So exciting to see them this up close!
Thanks to all who joined us!
