We headed out a little later this morning and after moving anchor we had a couple of copper sharks cruising around Slashfin. The shark activity was slightly slower than usual on our first trip, but you’ll be glad to know the cage dive quiz is back! So we had lots of fun with our cage divers, who learnt some interesting sharky facts and got to experience our tropical waters. Activity did pick up through the day and we ended up having some nice sightings. We even had the copper shark with a very flat nose, almost looking like a bull sharks, she is a lovely shark to watch around the boat. With the sea mist coming in through the afternoon, it appeared to get a little gloomy out on the water. But that didn’t dampen our spirits as we had some more fantastic copper shark action to keep us busy! With shark sightings being a bit slow today, we were so grateful when we had several copper sharks around the boat, blessing everyone with the presence of their hydrodynamic copper colored bodies. Our last trip had an extra special treat as one of our divers in the cage spotted some pink birds in the distance. It was flamingos! These beautiful birds are usually scene in our local estuary, but today they were flying just off the shore line. What a spectacular way to end the day!
