Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Cape fur seal , Storm petrels + Subantarctic skua
Summary: An afternoon departure from Kleinbaai harbour led us into the overcast yet calm bay. Less than halfway to the dive site, we encountered the largest bony fish in the ocean; a beautiful sunfish, otherwise known as Mola mola! As it ventured to deeper depths, we made our way to anchor. Divers already adorned in wetsuits, it was only a matter of time before they stepped foot into the cage to witness the arrival of the Bronze whaler sharks. Clearer waters offered great, up close sightings of the multiple individuals that joined us through our time on anchor. Additionally, a curious Cape fur seal spent time in the nearby waters, a resident of the well-populated Geyser Rock. Thank you to everyone who joined us on board today, it was a pleasure sharing these wildlife sightings with you!
