We started our shark adventure with a bit of a fun ride out to the dive location. Everyone was super excited and thrilled about the trip we had ahead of us. Little did we know that there were some pleasant surprises waiting for us. As we usually do we started chumming the water as soon as the cage was attached to the boat. Bronze whalers did not make us wait for too long and started coming up to the boat one after another. Our guests were thrilled to see how beautiful and graceful this species can be. Geared up and ready divers entered the cage ready to encounter their first sharks. Bronzies were extremely active and very entertaining coming up really close and giving occasional tail slaps next to the cage. Just when the second cage were almost done our first surprise showed up: a beautiful Sevengill shark came up to the cage. Even though it was not the first time they came up to the boat, it is always a nice and rare sight to see them doing it. Just when we thought our day couldn’t get any better a Short-tail stingray surfaced and went for the bait softly brushing against the cage. As much as everyone would love to stay there longer we had to go back to the harbour to give a chance for our next group of shark enthusiasts to enjoy their experience.
We started our second trip of the day with the sun high in the sky and a bit of wind blowing from the South. As soon as we reached our dive site in the Shallows, our crew picked up the cage that was left on anchor form the previous trip. Chum did the trick and our first Bronze whalers started to show up next to the boat. As soon as our guests got their wetsuits, they quickly geared up and were ready to start their shark cage diving experience. The sharks were incredible, coming up really close to the cage and allowing the divers in it to appreciate their beauty. To top it up our guests had a pleasure to witness multiple Bronze whalers breach just next to our boat. Once everyone was happy with their experience in the cage we headed back to the harbour to enjoy our well-deserved soup and bread at Great White House.
