Sunny sharky Sundays!! This morning’s trip was chockablock full of our copper sharks, with even a cheeky seal joining us for a little while as well. We had super close encounters with the copper sharks on this trip with 5 different individuals around the cage! We ran through the cages with our guests getting very up close and personal with our copper friends. We were still waiting in anticipation for the white sharks, and just as we’d dropped the cage in the water to leave for Gansbaai we saw a glimmer of the 2.7m male aside the boat.
With this in mind we left Gansbaai harbour (due to the low tide) with high spirits and a whole load of anticipation. The ride out was a lot of fun, and we got the cage tied up to the side of the boat nice a quick and got suited up. The copper sharks were up to their usual tricks on this trip with some very nice action around the cage. Half way through this trip the 2.7m male popped up for a very brief pass around the left side of the cage and towards the front of the boat. It’s good news he is sticking around, so hopefully he sends the message out to the others that we’re eagerly awaiting more white sharks!!!
The third trip saw the copper sharks join us in quick fashion. And then screams of Great White, Great White!!! We saw him again on this trip!!! With plenty of copper sharks to keep us busy in the cage, we had another Jawesome day on the water!!
