It would be quite hard to have a better day out on the bay as we did today. We launched this morning to clear blue skies and the warm sunshine helping our divers forget about the cooler waters they were about to take the plunge into! The sharks arrived about half an hour after anchor was put down and were abit slow this morning yet within the next hour things really started to heat up with many White sharks taking the time to cruise on by and the arrival of three Bronze Whalers we have been seeing for the last fews days.

Today saw the return of one of our well known sharks, a juvenile male with a interesting nickname, “Dolphinfin”, after the shape of his dorsal fin that is very curved, somewhat like the dorsal of a dolphin! This shark maybe small but what he lacks in size he makes up for in activity, with leaps out of the water seemingly one of his favourite things to do around the boat!

The second trip of the day launched with great success as we arrived back in the Shallows with not just one, not two but three White sharks around the cage! This included “Dolphinfin” yet again and a number of our current usual suspects! The Bronze Whalers were yet again game to play with the big Whites and we had our friendly Short-tailed Stingrays gliding by for a visit! This trip saw one of our youngest cage divers entering the water, Dylan, age 4, bravely suited up and hoped in the cage with his dad to watch sharks all larger than he is , well done Dylan! A beautiful day to be out on the water with the marine animals seeming to favour the nice conditions as well.
