Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tailed Stingrays

Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: Moderate

Visibility: Moderate

We headed out early this morning to beautiful sunrise skies! The sea conditions were calm this morning and we dropped anchor at a spot with nice visibility this morning. As we got our divers geared up the first sharks arrived! These first few sharks were copper sharks and with the beautiful visibility today our divers were able to get a grasp of their beauty underwater. We got some nice activity for all of our cages today with our divers getting some magnificent views of the sharks from the water and on the boat. We were lucky as well to also catch some nice passes from a graceful stingray, and on the way back into the harbour we caught a glimpse of a lone bottlenose dolphin cruising in the bay! A good trip all round!

For our second trip we arrived at our dive site and had copper sharks around us pretty quickly again! So our first group of divers climbed into the cage to get up close with these awesome sharks! With some active sharks out there we managed to get some nice passes from a few of the larger sharks and enjoyed witnessing them in their natural environment. With another group of happy divers we packed up and headed back to the harbour!
