As we headed out to the island today we were very excited to get our eyes on some sharks. We started by cruising through shark alley to check out the seals and the bird life of Dyer Island. We then headed out behind Geyser rock to the deeper waters dropped our anchor and got geared up and ready. After a period at this spot we were informed of a potential shark sighting in the shallows, so we quickly pulled anchor and raced over to check the information out. After dropping anchor, we were immediately joined by 6-7 Indo-pacific Humpback Dolphins. These guys stuck around surfacing now and again for around 20 minutes which was really cool to witness.
We were incredibly patient and coming towards the end of our trip some of our keener cage divers hopped in the cage and cue the cage dive quiz! We had some fun learning about sharks and remember points mean prizes, with our star performers receiving some lovely spring roles as a reward! Hopefully we get our sharks back in the bay again soon! Otherwise another fantastic day on the water.
