Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Cape fur seal , Short-tailed sting ray, African penguin, Humpback dolphin, Storm Petrels, Giant Petrels + Cape Gannets
Summary: This morning we launched out from Gansbaai harbour due to the low tide. As we made our way towards Danger Point, we were met with some thick fog, adding a little more excitement to our ride! We also had numerous different sea bird species gliding next to our boat. Around Danger Point, we came across a large raft of Critically endangered African penguins, allowing our guests to get some up-close views. As we arrived to our dive site known as “The Shallows”, our guests quickly geared up in their wetsuits, and the waiting game was on! After a few minutes we had our first Bronze whaler sharks around, signaling our first group of divers to enter the cage. We also had a smaller pod of Humpback Dolphins surprising us from the back of our vessel. During our trip a bull Cape fur seal made its presence, and a large female Short-tail Stingray, including close views from the Bronze whaler sharks!
