Sightings:  Great White Sharks, Bronze whalers, Cape Fur Seal, Short tailed stingray

Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: Moderate

Visibility: Moderate

We started our day with a beautiful sunrise! Weather conditions were increble with practically no swell or wind! As soon as we reached to our dive location and our guests had a chance to gear up the first copper sharks started to arrive. There were nice and active cruising slowly next to the cage giving our divers a unique opportunity to check them out underwater. And shortly after that we got ourselves a young great white shark! A 2.4m female went for our baits showing off her speed and power. Our second cage were lucky enough to get a completely different white shark, a 2.8m female, who was very relaxed which was quite uncharacteristic for her. And just as we were about to get our last group of divers out of the cage, Shaun came by for a short pass, giving us a glimpse of a little bit bigger specimen. Throughout the whole trip we also had some nice sightings of a short-tailed stingray, so an absolutely incredible trip!

We launched from Kleinbaai harbour for our second trip of the day! Once we got to the shallows, our guests were ready and excited to jump into their wetsuits. We got ourselves a white shark staraight away! A beautiful 4.5m female, coming to us from a distance. What a stunning sighting seeing such a beautiful large animal so up close! Straight after that we got two more white sharks for our trip – a 3.3m male, Shaun, and a feisty female of 2.8m. Great whites weren’t the only shark species that visited us today, we also had an incredible Bronze whaler activity around the cage and not one but two(!!!) short-tailed stingrays! All in all an amazing day full of wildlife!
