Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Moderate

Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail stingray, Cape fur seals, African penguins & Broadnose sevengill shark

Summary: Wow, what a fantastic start to the week! We were all thrilled to go out to sea and it didn’t take long before we spotted the first Bronze Whaler Sharks. We were also lucky enough to see a Broadnose Sevengill Shark, which is a species that dates back to the Jurassic period. The activity was consistent throughout the entire trip, and we even got a good look at a Short-tail Stingray. On our way back to the harbor, we saw multiple bait balls of fish in the bay, and there were many amazing sea birds diving into them. It was a perfect day on the water for everyone. guests and crew!
