Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Moderate

Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Cape fur seals, Short-tail stingray + African Penguins

Trip Summary: Today we launched from Kleinbaai Harbour with a slight swell and beautiful, sunny weather!  On our way to the dive site, we were followed by some amazing Subantarctic skuas, giving our guests some incredible close encounters along the way! Once we arrived at the dive site, our guests eagerly geared up in their 5mm wetsuits, and just like that, we had our first Bronze Whaler shark sighting around the cage!  We were also lucky enough to have a massive Short-tail Stingray and a hunting Cape Fur Seal around for the entire duration of our trip, making for an unforgettable experience. On our way back to shore, we made a quick stop at our local Cape Fur Seal colony and were thrilled to also spot some Critically Endangered African Penguins!  A huge thank you to everyone who joined us today!
