This morning we headed out a little earlier, and were on the water for 6:30. After a stunning sunrise cruise to the shallows, the fresh air had woken us up and we were more than keen to get sharky this morning. It wasn’t too long until we had our first shark around the boat. Our copper friends are still hanging out in the bay and we were treated to shark activity pretty much all trip, with at least 4 different individuals circling the boat. We also had 2 short tailed stingrays gliding through the water and checking out Sally the seal decoy!
For the second trip this morning we headed straight back to the shallows where the cage was waiting for us. After securing the cage back to the boat and getting geared up we were ready to hop in the cage at any opportunity of seeing a shark. With pretty decent clear water today (for us anyway!) we had some really nice encounters with more of the copper sharks. The stingrays were also swooping in and out, and giving our cage divers some great action shots!
Our third trip this afternoon was an exclusive group of 15 guests from the USA. We headed out into the afternoon glory and got straight into our suits and were eager to see the sharks! For this trip we didn’t need to wait too long to get our copper friends back around the boat and into the cage we went. Face to face with these majestic sharks is always a treat! Although we had no white sharks on our trips today, we did have a fantastic day on some very calm seas!
