Conditions: changing light winds

We launched right as the fog was clearing and it quickly became a beautiful morning.  Without much of a wait we were greeted by our first great white.  It was the same juvenile male we had seen the previous day.  He seemed to be in quite the feisty mood and proceeded to jump at the bait on several occasions.  Our second shark of the trip was a juvenile female who is very close in size, color and markings to our first shark.  It took a couple of passes to realize that she was indeed a different shark.  We also caught a brief glimpse of a sunfish (Mola mola) which is a fairly rare sighting in these waters.

The second trip had a bit more of a wait before seeing sharks.  The juvenile female from the morning showed up about an hour into anchor.  For awhile, we thought she was going to be our only visitor but then a second shark showed up for the last cage.  This one was a bit larger at around 3 meters and was a new shark that hasn’t been seen around Slashfin since the sharks returned.  In addition to the sharks, we had several nice passes from a really large short-tailed stingray.  You just never know what types of wildlife will show here.
