Early starts are the worst, but when there are sharks on the cards, hey you gotta do what ya gotta do! And after only 15 minutes, we had our first shark on the early trip this morning. We were treated to a couple of graceful passes to begin with as the sharks gradually began to show themselves. As the morning warmed we were joined by two other white sharks, with a particularly large individual around 4m in length. Activity heated up as the morning wore on and our cage divers got to see some fantastic sharks both above and below the water.

We had to wait a little while for sharks to join us on our second trip, but it was worth it. With the magnificent Scarlett joining us for a great period towards the end of the trip. We had a smaller white shark with us briefly, but it was Scarlett who ran the show for us on this trip. As one of our iconic sharks, we are keen to keep up to date with her whereabouts and it is positive that she is hanging out in the shallows at the moment.

For our third trip our group of guests had to practice much patience with nearly a two and a half hour wait for a sighting but finally a White shark appeared. This was a juvenile male that we have been seeing for the last five days, one that does come and go around the boat but when it is around we see some great activity. A great way to finish the day.

We are getting more and more sharks back in the area as the days go by, since the first shark almost two weeks ago we have had 10 unique individuals show up to Slashfin. May the good times continue and hopefully our winter sharks will carry on returning to the bay.
