We arrived at the shallows this morning eager to get sharky! We had to wait a bit this morning, and after quickly changing our anchor position, we managed to get our first shark! First up was clubtail, with some pretty graceful and curious passes from her. She glided off and went on her way this morning, but was soon followed by the 3m female with the dark scar around the base of the dorsal. She gave our second group some excellent passes, and with the visibility pretty good this morning our divers could see the sharks circling the cage nicely. Our third shark was Clover our recently tagged shark, she had a couple of nice strikes at the decoy as well as some awesome passes by the cage. Finally we had a small 2m white shark also trying to nose the decoy line to check out what was going on at the surface. Otherwise another stunning shark trip.
It was smooth sailing back towards our dive site for our second trip. Our divers climbed into their wetsuits and the waiting game started. We saw a brief glimmer of a white shark, but unfortunately after that, the waiting continued for a while. We decided to relocate, and once at our new location, the white sharks started to arrive. With the clear water, our divers had a fantastic view of these magnificent animals under water. Once again we saw a few familiar faces like Clubtail and Mini-Nemo visit us. But a highlight of the trip was when one of our guests went on one knee for his girl… she said “yes”.
