We headed straight to the shallows this morning in search of sharks. We got our divers geared up into their suits and didn’t have to wait long for the first copper shark. We started a little slowly this morning, but midway through the first group activity picked up and we got some nice passes from the coppers sharks. For the second group they got copper sharks as well as a bonus stingray! Our final group got some more excellent activity from the copper sharks with some wonderful close passes. We had a happy group of divers so with that we headed back to the harbour for our next trip.
And once again we headed out to sea to enjoy some sharks in their natural environment. As soon as we reached the dive site and picked up our cage, the copper sharks started to arrive. All of the cages had some really nice shark activity. Bronzies came up really close to the cage giving our divers a great opportunity to see them very clear and appreciate their beauty. Once everyone were happy and had their chance in the cage we detached the cage and were on our way back to the harbour.
After a slightly bouncy ride, we were back at our dive site for the third trip. As soon as we arrived, Clubtail, one of our frequent visitors, appeared behind the boat. Our divers quickly climbed into their wetsuits, and jumped into the cage. Unfortunately Clubtail didn’t show herself again, but another white shark did come by for a few passes. Overall our trip was dominated by Copper sharks that came by again and again. Another bit of entertainment was a juvenile Cape Gannet that used the area around the cage for fishing practice. A succesful dive gathered some cheers from all the people on board. At the end we headed back to shore, where our guests finished the trip with some fantastic soup and bread.
