Trip 1
The first trip of the day launched from Gansbaai harbour with perfect conditions. The clients were greeted in the harbour by a group of playful Cape fur seals. During the boat journey to our dive site, Joubertsdam, the clients were lucky enough to see two amazing Southern right whales around Danger point. Once at the dive site, the first shark arrived within ten minutes of anchoring. Two of the sharks to visit us were recently adopted sharks known as “ASHNN” and “Sarko” who amazed everyone with their active behaviour. Scarlett, a majestic 4.0 metre female also showed up at the boat. The clients were thrilled to see Scarlett because she is an incredible size and also has some interesting possible bite scars. During the trip we saw a remarkable twelve Short-tail stingrays which wowed the clients as they can grow up to two metres in width. The trip ended just as it began with beautiful Southern right whales being spotted just as we were packing up to head back to the harbour.

Trip 2
Trip two launched from Kleinbaai harbour, the sun was still shining and it was a little breezy. The first shark arrived within five minutes of anchoring. One of the recently adopted sharks known as “ASHNN” yet again paid us a visit. Scarlett, our marvellous 4.0 metre female with the possible bite scars also turned up. Scarlett amazed clients with her impressive size and she came right up to the surface which was a magnificent view. As well as sharks, we also were visited six times by wonderful short-tail stingrays.

Trip 3
The final trip of the day launched in slightly choppy conditions. However, this did not deter our white sharks, with the first arriving within fifteen minutes of anchoring. A 2.2 metre juvenile with possible bite wounds on its side stuck around for most of the trip and gave clients an astonishing view from the cage. In the final fifteen minutes of the trip a phenomenal 4.2 metre sharks jumped onto the seal decoy which was a spectacular sight to witness.
