Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks + Cape fur seal
Summary: Consistently improving weather meant we were able to head out on the water again. Slight swell but lower wind awaited us outside the harbour, with a short trip to the dive site. Upon arrival, divers put on their wetsuits and were soon ready to join the Bronze whaler sharks in the water. Multiple individuals of varying sizes were sighted around the vessel, with poor visibility working to their sneaky attempts at approaching the bait. A curious Cape fur seal was also present through our time on the water, playfully moving between sharks and showing off our marine diversity. Thank you to everyone who joined us, it was a pleasure sharing these sightings with you!
