Sightings: Bronze whalers and Short-tailed stingray

We headed out to the shallows keen to see sharks this morning! As we arrived we got our divers geared up and ready for a morning cage dive session. We got copper sharks quickly this morning with some good activity for our first cage. We got some lovely passes from the sharks and the visibility in the shallows was pretty good this morning! A short tailed stingray cruised up to us for the first cage and glided by our divers very gracefully. Our second group saw some similar activity with the copper sharks, and the stingray stuck around for this cage too! Our final group had some super upclose encounters with some of the sharks, and with a boat full of happy divers we headed back to the harbour.
For our second trip it was back to the shallows on a sunny afternoon! We got sharks pretty quick again on this trip so our divers jumped into the cage to see these awesome animals up close. We got some incredible close passes for our first group, and the activity continued through the trip. We also enountered another stingray, these massive rays had us in awe of their size! This gentle giant surfaced a few times so that we could grab a couple of pictures and then off it went to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. For our final cage we continued to dive with the copper sharks, and while no white sharks today the coppers were incredible!
