It was a later start for the team here at Marine Dynamics with our guests coming through to Gansbaai for a launch at 11:30am. We made our way to the Island in the hope that we would have some White shark action around our Winter diving spot however after an hour and a half with no glimpse of a shark we decided on an anchor and site change and went into the Shallows. Once back inshore we had multiple Bronze Whalers visiting the boat and out of nowhere one of the little White sharks appeared cruising in from the back of the boat making a pass by the left side of the cage and disappearing into the depths. The Bronze Whalers then made a come back before we had our second White shark of the afternoon appear during our last cage, another juvenile, a little larger in size and one that we have encountered over the last week or so with some distinctive markings on the dorsal fin. The Short-tailed stingray paid us a visit at the end of the trip, silently gliding in and out of view.
A big thank you to our guests on board for their patience today, it is highly appreciated and we are so glad that in the end we were able to show you some sharks.
