“Staff was wonderful – very knowledgable and passionate about what they do” – Ellen, USA

“Staff was fantastic. Seals were neat.  Bummer about the sharks, but still a great morning!” – Asher & Kat

Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: 12.4 C + 12.6 C

Depth: 9.6m + 9.4m

Visibility: 1.5 m + 2.0

Number of Sharks: 0 + 1

Conditions: calm seas, slight wind

For the second day in a row, we had a single shark sighting!!!!

Our first trip launched with high hopes of a repeat from yesterday.  Sadly, we did not see any great whites.  Thank you so much to the group for your patience.  You were all so lovely that we hated sending you home without any shark memories.

The second trip was quite lucky to see a shark about 30 minutes after anchoring.  This was a different shark from yesterday, she was a larger female with almost no markings on her at all.  She made several passes around the boat and then disappeared for nearly an hour.  She returned to make a couple more passes before leaving for the day.  We’re so glad she at least paid us a short visit and hope to see her again soon.
