Like we have no control over the wildlife we have no control over the weather, an unfortunate but true statement, one that was seen in full force today with a constant stream of rain ranging for light drizzle to the heavier stuff, our guests were prepared to get wet today either way! Apart from the rain the conditions were otherwise fantastic with little to no swell or wind and relatively warm and clear waters for this area.

The first trip launched at the early hour of 7am, amongst many of the other shark cage diving vessels in the area. Once on anchor we had a brief sighting of a Copper shark however it disappeared and did not surface for some time. It was then that we decided to make the move to another anchor and saw a few more Coppers, unfortunately a little on the shy side today and a very persistent and active Cape Fur seal, one that we have seen over the last two days.

Slashfin headed back to sea with our second group of guests and had its’ first Copper sighting soon after re-anchoring. The Copper sharks were a little bolder this trip with a few of the animals approaching the cage and appearing close to the surface rather than deeper down.
