Conditions: Clear day with a very bit of swell and very slight breeze.
Slashfin left the harbour with the sun rising, being the first boat on the anchor in the Shallows we hoped for the best of sightings and within moments of settling we had a Copper shark show up. A couple of these sharks appeared throughout the trip making for nearly consistent activity and some beautifully close passes by the cage and boat. We had a little bit of time left at the end of the trip so we went for a visit out to the islands to have a look at the always present and intersting Cape Fur seal colony of Geyser rock that were soaking up the sunshine and cooling off in the Alley.
The second trip of the day launched and they too had Copper sharks around quite quickly, in similar fashion to the first trip the sharks were much of the time in sight and to help with the challange of viewing with such visibility as today were happy to come within centimetres of the cage and boat allowing guests a glimpse of this bronzed fish.
The final trip of the day launched just past 1pm and enjoyed a warm afternoon in the sun. The sun was not the only thing that our guests enjoyed but also some great sightings of the Copper sharks. The sharks appeared not too long after the boat did and like the previous two trips, consistent sightings were had and some brilliant activity was experienced.
