Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temperature: 19.5°C + 19.7°C
Depth: 10.0m + 9.8m
Visibility: 0.5m – 1.0m
Conditions: Clear skies, little to no swell and slight wind.

Another beautiful one out on the water, flat seas and very slight winds with the sun shining down on us all day.

The Copper sharks appeared to be enjoying the nice weather as much as we were today with a number of sharks visiting the boat throughout our two trips. Some were animals we have come to recognise, one in particular, a male that has been around for the last few days with some scratches to his snout and under the dorsal fin and a small one that is very interesting to see amongst all the larger ones but a tad on the shy side and does not stick around.

We also encountered the Short-tailed stingrays again today, like yesterday, the water was at a temperature that this species of elasmobranch seem to enjoy, the higher side of the range. Two Short-tailed stingrays appeared on both trips, content on chasing each other around and every now and again approaching the surface and brasking it so we all had a brilliant view of one of the largest marine-based stingrays in the world.

Another bright day out on Slashfin.
