“Just keep swimming, just keep swimming…” Mini-Nemo, our iconic White Shark must’ve heard Dory’s wise words as he joined us on all three trips today! After being greeted with a spectacular sunrise on our first trip, we geared up and eagerly awaited our first shark around Slashfin. Although it took Mini-Nemo around an hour to join us this morning, we were not disappointed with his presence. He was graceful to begin with, almost basking in the morning sunshine behind the boat. But he soon became interested in our seal decoy, gently nudging with his snout. Our cage divers got some excellent sightings of him as he glided past the cage for them. He then proceeded to come and go as he pleased during the remainder of our trip, keeping us all on our toes!

On our second trip, it wasn’t long at all until Mini-Nemo joined us again, giving us some great passes even if he was a bit intermittent at times. But hey, he’s a shark and is allowed to do sharky things for a while before coming to say hi to us! In addition to Mini-Nemo on this trip we also had a Stingray join us too, which was a nice encounter!

Our third trip was an exclusive group of 6 guests from Italy. We chatted in detail about the sightings we’d been having over the last couple of days, and were eager to get down to the harbour and into the cage! We ended up seeing double on this trip as two sharks joined us! “Mini Nemo” was yet again the highlight as he cruised nice and close to the cage and even managed a few semi breaches and spy-hops! A smaller female, one we have seen over the week also made an appearance but only briefly.
