Another beautiful day out on the water in Kleinbaai. The last few days have seen some slower mornings, however this is something you cannot predict as these are wild animals and will do what they want when they want, this morning proved a little different. Once on anchor for our first trip we had our first shark as the wetsuits were being handed out, this was a large female, a regular visitor to the boat over the last few days and always welcome as she is quite active for a shark of such size! She proved to be even sneaky today than previous days, and on more than one occassion launched herself out of the water without warning. We also had a smaller female around, which we saw only a few days earlier, with the very distinguishable dorsal fin, much like “Slashfins”. Other than these two large female our other sharks were all around the 3m mark in length but showed our visitors what they lack in size they make up for in activity! Before heading back to land we passed through Shark Alley to check out the Cape Fur seals.

The sea was perfect to launch, flat like a mirror. We were heading to our dive site in the shallows, were we picked up the cage. After waiting for a little while we had a great white shark approaching our vessel. In total we encountered four different great white sharks during our trip. The sharks kept passing by the cage slowly so the divers could have a nice look at these beautiful creatures. After a great trip out in our bay we were heading back to the Kleinbaai harbour.
