Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Poor
Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, African Penguins, Storm Petrels + Short-tail Stingray
Summary: A fantastic day on the water! Although it was a bit overcast with some swell, the wildlife sightings were incredible from start to finish. As we made our way to the dive site, we spotted birds feeding in the distance, Cape Gannets, seagulls, and African penguins, giving us some amazing close encounters with these critically endangered species. Once we arrived, our guests eagerly suited up in their wetsuits, ready for the adventure ahead. It wasn’t long before the first Bronze Whaler shark appeared, signaling the start of an unforgettable dive. We were also joined by an impressive Short-tail Stingray that stayed actively around the group. A huge thank you to all our guests for sharing this special day with us!
