Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Broadnose sevengill shark, Short-tail stingray, Humpback whale + Cape fur seal
Summary: An early departure from Kleinbaai Harbour, with calm seas and low wind, led us to the dive site in the shallows. Our first shark to arrive was the Broadnose sevengill shark, the star of the day! Two individuals frequented the cage, offering an up close interaction with these prehistoric sharks. Second to arrive were the Bronze whaler sharks, albeit on the shy side today! A graceful Short-tail stingray and a predating Cape fur seal added to the marine life sighted on anchor. A scenic return to Gansbaai Harbour took us past the iconic Danger Point, where a Humpback whale was sighted breaking the surface, a great end to the day! Thank you to all who joined us at Marine Dynamics!
