Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature:  Moderate (14°C – 17°C)

Visibility: Poor

Conditions: A bit grey and cold out there but calm sea conditions

Our first trip headed out this morning straight to the shallows! We arrived and got ourselves copper sharks and stingrays very quickly so our first group jumped in the cage and got face to face with these awesome animals! We had good activity for this first cage and then for the second group they got a great white. The 2.5m male with some white pigmentation on the flanks gave us quite a show this morning. And then Clubtail also cruised by the back of the boat for a quick deep pass. She returned later for one spectacular breach and then we finished up with copper sharks!

For our second trip it was back to the shallows where we got copper sharks straight away! Our divers geared up and then got straight into the cage. We had some awesome passes from these sharks, with some great face to face encounters! We got a short tailed stingray as well on this trip, which is always an elegant sight to see! We continued with the copper sharks for the rest of the trip with great activity and sightings both from the cage and from the boat. Unfortunately we didn’t manage to get a great white on this trip, but it was a stunning trip nonetheless!
