The first trip of the day started of a little choppy. However, this did not deter our white sharks, with the first shark arriving within five minutes of the boat anchoring. To everyone’s amazement, the second shark to arrive was Scarlett. Scarlett is a wonderful 4.0 metre female who arrived in the bay about three weeks ago for the first time this year. Both the crew and clients were extremely happy to see her awesome behaviour around the boat. Another shark to visit us on this trip was a recently adopted shark known as “3 bird”. She has been regularly visiting us for the past six weeks. The clients were also lucky enough to see two sharks that were recently tagged by the Dyer Island Conservation Trust, one of which is an incredible 4.0 metre female.
The second trip to launch was greeted within minutes by Scarlett again, our 4.0 metre female. We were also visited by a smaller shark that was recently tagged by Dyer Island Conservation Trust. The last shark to arrive was a big 4.1 metre shark which wowed clients with it’s activity around the boat.
The final trip of the day launched with perfect conditions, little swell and beautiful sunshine. Two of the sharks to visit us were large 4.2 metre females, one of which was recently tagged by the Dyer Island Conservation Trust. Scarlett, our 4.0 metre female visited us yet again and stayed for the duration of the trip. The clients were yet again in awe of her behaviour around the cage.
An absolutely incredible day with awesome sharks around the boat.
