Trip 1
A beautiful sunrise started our first trip off perfectly! After only a twenty minute wait, we saw our first shark, an active 2.5 meter male. We catalogued 6 sharks in total, despite the challenging visibility every diver got sightings from underwater. The largest shark was a 3.0 meter female with distinctive scars on her right flank. We were also joined by 2 very inquisitive short tailed stingrays!

Trip2
Our second trip didn’t spot as many sharks, but we did only have a 5 minute wait before a shark appeared. It was the same female from the first trip with the distinct scars and she was just as active. We were also blessed by the presence of an amazing 3.6 meter female. All of the clients on board were in awe of her size! She was very slow in her movements and gave everyone a spectacular view of her full body beneath the water. We were also visited by another short tailed stingray who made several passes and inspected the seal decoy numerous times.

Trip 3
Our third trip was just as lucky as the second trip with only a 5 minute wait before we spotted the first shark. It was another slow shark that did numerous passes in front of the cage then circled the boat. It was accompanied by a smaller pale shark that was about 2 meters in length. Sharks never lose their tan, so this shark most likely spends a lot of time deep beneath the water and not at the surface. To see it come to the boat and be just as curious as the tan sharks that we see was awesome. Activity got quiet for our last 2 cages, and although visibility was poor, all of our divers were able to experience a great white passing just inches in front of their face several times. Fortunately the large female from the first 2 trips decided to come back just long enough for everyone in both of the last 2 cages to experience a highly active shark! She’s an absolute beauty!
