As the weekend approaches, we were up and ready early this morning to head out to the shallows. It was a bit of a slow start this morning, with our copper sharks a little shyer than usual. In addition to that we have had a slight drop in water temperature over the last few days. But this did not deter our divers jumping straight in the cage when we did get copper sharks around the boat. With some excellent passes from at least 5 different individuals this morning we were we rewarded for braving the cold! We had a brief sighting of a stingray towards the end of the trip, but this one was a little more timid than the others that we have seen over the last couple of weeks.

For the second trip the copper sharks turned up in good numbers again and gave our cage divers some fantastic opportunities to grab some underwater shots of the sharks. We even had a cheeky seal on this trip, with many on board urging a white shark to show up and give it a run for its money. Unfortunately we were not lucky enough to have a white shark pop up and say hello, but we were very much content with how the copper sharks were exhibiting themselves around the boat.

On this our third and final trip of the day, our famous copper sharks were in full force very quickly, with our divers eager to get in and up close with them. The cheeky cape fur seal was back again on this trip, but yet again unfortunately no white shark to give chase! The coppers were doing their best to fill the void the white sharks have left recently, and boy did they perform well, with some great activity all round today. Hopefully this evening the white sharks decide to pack their bags, and come join us for a holiday in the bay!
