It was another early start for the crew on Slashfin and our clients, but it was totally worth it. Five minutes after dropping the anchor we spotted our first great white shark. We encountered new sharks constantly throughout the whole trip in the end we saw twelve different individuals. As the last few days we had some well-known sharks around as well. The biggest shark we saw was ‘Rosie’ with 4.2m. We also had a short tailed sting ray investigating the diver in the cage. After an amazing trip we were heading to the Gansbaai harbour.

On our second trip the shark activity was just as amazing as on our first one. We had sharks around the vessel straight away. After seeing ten different sharks passing up and down the cage and showing us their teeth we were slowly heading back to the harbour. On our way we were cruising along the coast where we spotted some Humpback dolphins, how lucky.

Another amazingly beautiful clear trip with flat calm seas and some awesome sharks!  As we arrived the skipper observed a shark predating on a seal in the distance! We saw 8 sharks but the most curious was ‘Cutfin’ who circled us for nearly an hour. If everyday was like today shark cage diving in Gansbaai would be far too easy J Two 4m sharks arrived to show the last cage how much bigger in body mass a white shark looks with just a meter more in length!
