Location: Gansbaai, South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Moderate

Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail stingray + Broadnose sevengill sharks & Cape fur seal

Summary: What an incredible day of sightings to share with guests on board Slashfin! An early start for our first arrivals, the journey out of Kleinbaai Harbour took us to the dive site where Bronze whaler sharks were the first to arrive. Large individuals actively passed in front of the cage, with improved visibility allowing guests an up close encounter with these animals. A brief sighting of the large Short-tail stingray surprised divers and spectators, with a curious Cape fur seal continuously moving around the anchor site. Thank you to everyone who joined us today, it was great sharing our wildlife with you!
