Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: 14.2°C +

Depth: 8.2m +

Visibility: 1m + 1m

Conditions: Sunny day with a few clouds in the sky, and little wind.

It was a beautiful morning as we headed out to sea. We raced across the flat sea and soon arrived at our dive site. Once our guests were ready, the wait started for the sharks to arrive. Soon our first shark arrived, and our divers quickly climbed into the cage. We were briefly visited by a few Copper sharks as well. Later in the trip another White shark appeared, this one smaller than the other. The sharks were very fickle today, but beautiful weather and a few sightings today, and our guests were very pleased by what they saw today.

After 10 minutes of settling back on anchor we looked towards the stern of the boat to see Mini-Nemo heading our way with a small pod of bottlenose dolphins! The dolphins were moving fast in a westerly direction and did not stay at the boat. Three more great whites joined us on this trip, and five Bronzies. Despite poor visibility everyone had good shark sightings. Encouraging to see a nice range in our white sharks from 2m to 4.5m, both males and females.
