Conditions:  Overcast and light showers in the morning with sunshine pulling through in the afternoon

While conditions appeared grey and gloomy this morning, this did not deter us as we headed to the shallows. We arrived and got our divers geared up with a couple of copper sharks joining us pretty soon after anchoring up. While activity came and went for our first cage, we decided to shift our anchor and try a new spot. It seemed quiet and then all of a sudden our first Great White Shark of the year appeared!!! This stunning 4m female came in and checked out our decoy line first then gave our divers a stunningly close pass by the cage! As if that excitement wasn’t enough we were joined by our second, that’s right second great white of the year! This shark was a little smaller at 3.6m but showed some particular energy this morning, wowing everyone onboard crew and clients alike. It has been a long wait to get a great white on one of our trips, but the sightings we had on this trip have made the wait worth it!

For our second trip we headed straight back to where we found our white sharks in the morning, and anchored up next to another shark cage diving boat. As our divers jumped up into their wetsuits, the great white shark returned, and our divers quickly jumped into the cage. The great white came around for several passes, even investigating our decoy. Even a curious Copper shark came around and took a look. While activity slowed down a bit towards the end of the trip, it was amazing seeing our favourite visitors again.
