Location: Joubertsdam

Temperature: 18.6°C +  19.0°C

Depth: 8.0m + 9.5m

Visibility: 1.5m + 1.5m

Conditions: A beautiful, cloudless sunny day with a slight breeze.

Once we reached our dive location this beautiful morning everyone enjoyed beautiful clouds above the mountain tops. As it usually happens lately our copper sharks didn’t make us wait a long time and started visiting us one by one. Divers were happy to get into the cage as the water was unusually warm and the visibility was incredible (for our area). The sharks were absolutely stunning, trying to get the bait and making their beautiful bronze colours play under the sunlight. Unfortunately, after everyone had their chance in the cage, we had to head back to the harbour so Slashfin could greet its next group of guests.

For our second trip, we once again headed straight to our dive-site. The moment we arrived and attached the cage to the side of Slashfin, the first Copper sharks approached. Our guests got ready, and as they jumped into the cage, the sharks became more and more active. A Cape fur seal came around and hung around the boat for a while as well. With the sun in the sky, a slight breeze, and amazing shark activity, our guests had a whale-of-a-time in the cage (no pun intended).
