A beautiful sunrise was what awaited our group today as we left the harbour nice and early, heading out to the Island for a morning of White shark diving and watching! The first shark arived about 30 minutes after we anchored and kept quite deep however not too long after a large, darkly coloured female turned up that cause a bit of a stir on the boat. The other two were juveniles, one thats been around the last few days with scarring in front of it’s tail and the other we know very well and have named “Mini Nemo”. The second trip of the day had sharks around quickly with “Mini Nemo” the first to arrive, possibly still close by from the first trip! A new addition for the day arrived towards the end of this trip with a lovely sized female cruising in. This female is easily distinguishable at present by patches of parasites all over her. On the way back to the harbour the group were lucky enough to spot a large pod of Common dolphins. The third and final trip of the day was a full boat booked for a United Kingdom based school Rugby team. It seems that all the noise from the excited team had the sharks excited as well as we witnessed not one but three full breaches in front of us! Unfortunately these were all surprises and by the time we were trying to pick up our cameras they were over, still a great sight to see! We also had our large, copepod covered female on this trip along with the juvenile male with a large bite infront of its dorsal fin, that appears around the boat frequently as of late! A very nice end to a very nive week…
