Awesome day of sunshine smiles and sharks! We had our first trip launch around 7am this morning into a lovely sunny morning and a brief sighting of a southern right whale. Upon anchoring it wasn’t long until our copper sharks popped up to come check us out. Cue the divers to get in the cage. With some great activity from the coppers we had some very happy cage divers, and some nice up close action! With solid activity throughout the trip we had happy faces all round! To top it off we had a nice encounter with a mother calf pair of southern right whales on the way back to the harbour!
With the second trip today, the glorious sunshine escorted us all the way to the anchor site. Upon securing the cage the copper sharks were back in full force! Again we had some really nice activity throughout the trip, and just as we started to finish up to head back to the harbour, we had a sighting of a great white with Mini Nemo approaching he boat and showing our guests what a White shark is all about.
For the final trip of the day our copper sharks were eager to show off once again and we got through our first cage with some very happy divers. Towards the middle of the trip, we saw the distinctive white shark silhouette, and were happy to see the return of Mini Nemo to the boat for the last trip. He stuck around for much of the trip doing his usual thing, impressive sneak approaches! A beautiful finish to the day!
