Sightings:  Great White Sharks and Bronze whalers

Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: Moderate

Visibility: Poor

We started nice and late today, it was a little rainy before the trip so we geared up on land and were all ready for our shark cage diving experience once we got to the Shallows. The first sharks that we got were very feisty Bronze whalers who kept coming to the cage, giving our divers a great opportunity to have a nice and close look at them. As the second cage got in, we got ourselves a first great white shark of the day, an estimated 3.0m male that came by a few times before our second White shark made a grand appearance and took over the show! A 2.5m female, with identifiable markings of a bite scar on her head and notch out of the dorsal fin, she has been documented in the bay fequently over the last four weeks and today she was giving us quite a performance. Another JAWSome day for Slashfin and its guests.
