An early wake up was on the cards for our guests this morning! Whilst the guests might have still been waking up the sharks were on point this morning with our first shark only five minutes after arrival. This was a small juvenile with a fishing hook and line attached to its dorsal fin that we spotted for the first time yesterday. We were lucky enough to have the beautiful 4.5m female present herself again this morning, gaining more admirers today! The second trip of the day had sharks on sight waiting for our arrival. Before we were even able to anchor, we had a shark approach the boat, and at the same time, off in the distance a natural predation could be seen. Our divers immediately got suited up and eagerly hopped into the cage. The shark who had been curious about the boat hung around with us for close to 30 minutes. While in the cage, we were also fortunate enough to have a Humpback whale approach our boat! It came within 4 meters of the boat and the divers in the water were able to get an amazing view as it passed by the cage. This is only the third time that this has happened in two years… What lucky divers! The third and final trip started off well with a shark present only 10 minutes after arrival, this was a smaller individual which disappeared quickly after however that was okay as it made way for a large female with a very interesting curved “x” scar on her dorsal fin! She was the stand out of this trip and got everyone excited every time she came on by, which was most of the trip as she stuck around. Three great trips, what more could we say…
