Location: Joubertsdam

Water Temperature: 13.5°C

Depth: 9.1m

Visibility: 2m

Conditions: Sunny day at sea with calm seas

We launched a little later due to wind in the morning, but by the time we arrived at our anchor spot the wind had died down. As we approached we got our first glimpse of a white shark in the distance, so we got our divers geared straight up and sat in wait. It took us a while on this trip to get a shark, but in the mean time we chatted all the shark facts we could with some enthusiastic shark conservationists on board. As we were chatting though the crew had spotted the unmistakable silhouette of a shark approaching, so our divers clambered in and we waited. And then bam Clubtail arrived! This 4.3m female white shark put on quite a display for our first and second cages, with some stunning activity! And just like that she was gone again. Unfortunately she’d decided that was that for our trip, but we were visited by some gorgeous copper sharks towards the end of the trip for a real bonus!
