Back onto the water after a day off, we could still feel the reminents winds that caused us to cancel yesterday however it was less than yesterday and decreasing as the day went on. Slashfin was the first boat on anchor this morning and as we were cruising onto our spot a White shark was seen moving slowly by just under the surface of the water in the distance. We were hopeful that this shark would approach and keep us company for the morning however this was the only glimpse of the animal that we had. The Copper sharks were seen today, with some nice sightings of this species throughout the trip, made all the better by the wonderful visibility that we experienced.
The second trip of the day launched just after 10am and we made our back onto anchor in the Shallows. The Copper sharks appeared quickly and were consistent sightings for the trip, like the first trip the visibility was fantastic making for some great viewing of the sharks. Unfortunately no White shark sightings for this trip.
To finish off the day Slashfin headed out one more time to try our luck. The wind had died down for the afternoon and the conditions were beautiful for a day out on the sea. The Copper sharks yet again visited us and were more than happy to spend the afternoon with us, coming and going making for a ‘Bronzie’ sort of afternoon. We moved anchor towards the end of the trip and were rewarded by mini-nemo who we were more than happy to see swimming around us!
