We’ve held our nerve over the last few weeks and we were truly rewarded today. Our first trip launched early with the moon slowly setting behind Danger Point Lighthouse. As we arrived at the shallows and the dark turned to light, we were greeted just 10 minutes after arriving by the large 3.5m female White Shark that was spotted yesterday. She continued to glide past us as we got our guests geared up and into the cage. After some stunning passes, we were joined by the smaller and distinctly more scarred female from yesterday. She was on form this morning, giving us some great aerial action and jawsome underwater sighting. Towards the end of our trip, a very brave seal joined us around the boat while the smaller female patrolled! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect start to Monday and the coming week. Since we needed to wait for the tide to be favourable for us to dock back in the harbour this morning, we went to check out the seals and Shark Alley. The seals will have to be careful over the coming days!

Our second trip launched as the morning was gradually getting warmer. We arrived back in the Shallows and got the cage nicely secured to the boat for our next eager group of guests. Again it wasn’t a long wait for these guys either, as we helped our guests get into their wetsuits, the larger female graced us with her presence again. Our guests on the second trip were also joined by 2 new females that we hadn’t seen yet, including a very small (around 2m) White Shark.

By our third trip we were giddy, and couldn’t wait to get back on the water. Our enthusiasm was once again rewarded nearly instantly with the presence of a White Shark. This trip was an exclusive for a family of four visiting South Africa to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary. We were very lucky with the sightings this afternoon with the smaller, very scratched up female appearing, our two large females from the earlier trips and a tiny juvenile male taking his chance amongst all the big females!

Fins crossed that the sightings continue!
