As we headed out for a dawn launch this morning we were all excited to get sharky! We got a shark nice and quick on this trip, and our first shark was a shy 2m juvenile. We went through a period of no sharks, but this gave us some fantastic opportunities to learn about the area and enjoy the sunshine. Then all of a sudden shark activity! We had the 3m male with the bite mark on the right side behind the dorsal. He was a little more active than the first great white this morning, giving our divers some nice passes. Next up we had the 3m male with the clamp marks, cruising around Slashfin. With some nice passes and some investigatory nudges of the decoy, our cage divers were in awe of his beauty. Finally our fourth shark of the trip was the female with clamp marks. She was a chilled white shark this morning circling the boat checking our divers in the cage. With another epic trip under our belts, we headed back into the harbour to pick up our second group of eager divers.

As we approached our cage in the shallows and got our divers ready, we got our first shark of this trip. This was the male shark from the previous trip, with a very small bite mark on its right flank. This shark made some great passes by the cage continuing throughout the trip to appear however he did retreat when we had our second shark of the trip show up, a large female known to us as Clampy, the same female as was seen on the previous trip.

Before finishing up for the day and week Slashfin made one more trip to sea with the boat full of student athletes visiting from the United Kingdom.
