Summer in the middle of autumn? Who would’ve thought! Today was a stunning day with beautiful sunshine warming the bay. Our first trip had a visit from a copper shark within 20 minutes of anchoring, however there was a bit of a wait for the white sharks. After about 40 minutes we had our first white shark approach, a feisty 3.2 meter white shark with 2 bite scars on its right side. It was quickly joined by a larger 3.6 meter white shark who gave our divers some stunning views. We had a few sharks we recognized: Clampy, our 1.3 meter baby, and a large female with a hook in her mouth. There were a few that we didn’t recognize, with the smallest being 1.7 meters long and the largest at 4.7 meters long. It started slow, but ended up being an amazing trip with sharks lunging out of the water, giving everyone that “money shot” of the white sharks famous teeth. What a way to start the day!
